Edwin Outwater, conductor Adams - The Chairman Dances: Foxtrot for Orchestra Rising international cellist Amit Peled, revered for his emotive musicianship, comes to Columbus to perform the Concerto in D Minor by Edouard Lalo, written in 1876. Lalo’s compositions are renowned for their distinctive style, set apart from his compatriots’ compositions by his use of colorful orchestrations and strong melodies. The Columbus Symphony welcomes the return of conductor Edwin Outwater as they perform Prokofiev’s Symphony No. 5, written and premiered in the Soviet Union during World War II as Prokofiev sought refuge from the rages of war. Come experience a night of music you won’t soon forget with Edwin Outwater conducting the Columbus Symphony.
