Young Musician’s Competition
Grades 3-12
The Young Musicians Competition provides an opportunity for students in grades 3-12 to perform for professional feedback. Columbus Symphony Orchestra musicians and collegiate faculty from around Ohio serve as adjudicators. The winner of the Senior Division will be the recipient of a $500 award generously donated by the Women's Association of the CSO and may also have the opportunity to perform with the Columbus Symphony. Students who place in either division may also have the opportunity to perform in the Ohio Theatre lobby prior to Columbus Symphony Classical Series concerts. This season's competition is March 19 & 20, 2011.
2011 Young Musicians Competition applications will be available December 2010.

Young Musician’s Showcase
If you’ve ever come early to a Columbus Symphony concert, you’ve probably seen some of our talented young musicians at work! Young musicians from the central Ohio area are given the opportunity to gain valuable experience by performing in the Galbreath Pavilion before every Classical Series concert. The Young Musician’s Showcase begins one hour prior to start of the concert.
If you are interested in being a part of the Young Musician’s Showcase, please contact Jeani Stahler at 614-228-9600 ext. 1218 or jstahler@columbussymphony.com. All participants receive two complimentary tickets to that evening’s Columbus Symphony concert.
